You may adjust the model and the textures as you see fit. If you need the UV-layout or higher resolution textures (up to 2048px) just contact me. All models are .ase format and come with 1024px textures.
Some of the models might have more tris than necessary. Feel free to reduce tris as you please.
Here's a quick explanation how to use the models:
- Dowload the model and unzip the file.
- The .ase file should be placed in urbanterror/q3ut4/models/MYMAP/
The textures go into urbanterror/q3ut4/textures/MYMAP/
MYMAP stand for the name of your map for example uptown - Open the .ase model with a text editor. Somewhere around the top search for all lines that contain *MATERIAL_NAME "textures/MYMAP/ and replace MYMAP in each of those lines with the name you used above (there is one instance for each texture). The lines with *MAP_NAME and *BITMAP don't have to be changed. Save the file.
- Open your map in radiant, rightclick in the 2D view, choose misc/misc model, look for the model (make sure to choose .ase at the bottom right hand corner), press "open"
- That's it, the model should now be in your map. You can move, rotate, scale it as you please.
- You also might want to add shaders to the models.
